The electromagnetic spectrum varies with its wavelength. Part of the electromagnetic spectrum is light, infrared, radio, microwave, ultraviolet and gamma. In optical fiber communication, the electromagnetic spectrum used is light. Basically, the concept of optical fiber communication is total internal reflection, wherein the light is trapped within the material due to angle at which it strikes the boundary.
