Explanation:

An iceberg is a massive floating piece of ice  carried to the sea. It is produced a large mass of ice detaches from glaciers. Mostly on its upper surface, warm air melts snow and ice into melt ponds that can cause cracks within the iceberg.

Some of the problems of inquiry concerning icebergs are:

i. The hardness of an iceberg: This means the tensile strength of an iceberg. It is hard to cause a ship wreck when there is a collision between the two, but not as hard as a concrete. It is due to the break off of a massive ice from glacier which drifts to the sea.

ii. The melting rate: A lot of work has been done to consider the rate at which iceberg melts. It is easily affected by an increase in the ambient temperature, which would increase its melting rate. It could exist for about two to three years as it undergo melting.

iii. The draft of an iceberg: This has to do with the movement or transportation of an iceberg. Due to its large mass, it is difficult to transfer an iceberg from one location to another.

iv. Its size or weight: There are various sizes of iceberg, which depends on the temperature of the surroundings and the process of formation.
