The power output of an adiabatic steam turbine is 5 mw, and the inlet conditions of the steam are as p1 = 2 mpa, t1 = 400°c, v1 = 50 m/s, z1 = 10 m, and exit conditions are given as p2 = 15 kpa, x2 = 90%, v2 = 180 m/s, z 2 = 6 m. thus,
(a) compare the magnitudes of h, ke, and pe. [ dh=-887.39 kj/kg; dke=14.95 kj/kg; dpe=-0.04 kj/kg]
(b) determine the work done per unit mass of the steam flowing through the turbine.[ 872.48 kj/kg]
(c) calculate the mass flow rate of the steam.[ 5.73 kg/s
