Atortoise and hare start from rest and have a race. as the race begins, both accelerate forward. the hare accelerates uniformly at a rate of 0.9 m/s^2 for 4.7 seconds. it then continues at a constant speed for 11.7 seconds, before getting tired and slowing down with constant acceleration coming to rest 72 meters from where it started. the tortoise accelerates uniformly for the entire distance, finally catching the hare just as the hare comes to a stop. what is the acceleration of the hare once it begins to slow down? what is the acceleration of the tortoise?

Two 1.20-m nonconducting wires meet at a right angle. one segment carries + 2.50 µc of charge distributed uniformly along its length, and the other carries - 2.50 µc distributed uniformly along it, as shown in fig. 21.50. ( a. find the magnitude and direction of the electric field these wires produce at point p, which is 60.0 cm from each wire. ( b. if an electron is released at p, what are the magnitude and direction of the net force that these wires exert on it?
