Imagine you put a cannon on the top of a very tall mountain. you start firing cannonballs horizontally and each time you add more gunpowder to the cannon (which makes the next cannonball travel further before hitting the ground). is it possible that at some point the cannonball will miss the ground? what does this have to do with the orbit of the moon?
