Consider the following scenarios. Describe in detail what you would do in each case. Think about what you have learned in this chapter AND use common sense. (These scenarios actually happened in my buildings, by the way). Scenario A: You are a Certified Nurses Assistant (CNA) and are preparing for the lunch carts to come out. You are attending to each of your assigned residents to ensure they are prepared for their lunch. As you enter Room 312, you notice the faint odor of cigarette smoke and notice the restroom trash can has a small amount of smoke coming out of it. Describe your response. Scenario B: You are a Registered Nurse (RN) in charge of an entire Nursing Home on the Sunday Day shift. While you are doing your rounds, the fire alarm suddenly goes off. You look down toward the end of the corridor and see a lot of smoke billowing out from under the closed door to the shower room. The corridor is quickly filling with smoke. Describe your response.
