If the states regulate emergency services, then how is there an effective standardization of care between states? In both national and state-level curriculum, the courses for paramedics are standard and it is their responsibility to maintain standardization among the EMTs.

Each individual in EMS has to go through both a state and federal training curriculum.

The states do not have any unified standardization between states.

The basic requirement for content and hours in each training program has to meet the National Standard Curriculum.
