Apoint is reflected in the y-axis the reflected point is 5.75, 0 what is the original point and what is the distance between the points

When a point is reflected in the y-axis this occurs (x,y) = (-x,y) meaning that the original point for  'y' is still 0 but for the 'x' the original point was -5.75
to find the distance you count from -5.75 to 5.75

-5.75, -4.75, -3.75, -2.75, -1.75, 0.75, 1.75, 2.75. 3.75, 4.75, 5.75 
if you count in between the -5.75 and 5.75 you get 9 
the distnace betwen the orignial point and reflected point is 9
