How do i find the surface area on this shape

This net is for a rectangular prism, we can find the surface area by adding all of the areas together.

the area of the small square is 2 x 2 = 4, there are 2 so 4 + 4 = 8

the area of one of the long rectangles is base x height. 20 x 2 = 40
there are 4 of these rectangles so 40 x 4 = 160

Adding it all together we get 160 + 8 = 168 ft^2
