How to find the percentage of a number?

Example
45% of 600
You need to take 45 divide by 100 to get 0.45
And then you multiply 600 with 0.45 =270
When you get the answer you will subtract
600-270 = 330
Then
45% of 600 is 330
Or you can do another way faster that
100-45 = 55
55/100= 0.55
600x0.55 = 330
