How do I turn a word problem into a quadratic polynomial? The directions I was given are confusing. The information I got for the word problem is;

P (production/x) = 50x + 300
C (cost/x) = 90x - 0.5x^2

I’m not sure how to turn it into a quadratic polynomial (not sure if it’s equation or formula).
