Jane claims that she can help show that 6n + 3n = 9n is true by first choosing one positive value forn and replacing the variables in the equation to show that
it is true, and then choosing one negative value forn and replacing the variables
in the equation to show that it is also true. Can you carry out Jane's idea? If not,
explain why Jane's idea does not work.
