A rare genetic condition called Retinitis pigmentosa (RP) results in individuals losing
their night vision (the ability to see clearly in low light situations) and peripheral
vision. As the condition worsens with age, so do the symptoms, resulting in many
individulas with RP being legally blind by the age of 40.
