An urn is chosen at random and then a ball is chosen at random from the chosen urn. Suppose that the probability of choosing the first urn is 2/3 and the probability of choosing the second urn is 1/3. Suppose that after performing this experiment, your friend reports that he got a ball numbered “3”. What is the probability that the ball he picked came from the first urn?
