(2) Applying,

A = Area of the tripezium- area of the semi circle

A = [h(a+b)/2]-πh²/8 Equation 2

Given; h = 15 in, a = 17 in, b = 37 in

A = (15(17+37)/2)-(3.14×15²/8)

A = 405-88.31

A = 316.69 in²

answer: 42

use a calculator to find that 845/73 = 11.575

the whole part of the answer is 11. multiply this by 73 to get 11*73 = 803.

subtract that result from 845 to get 845 - 803 = 42
