1. For the fundraiser, students raise a set amount of money for their trip from each candy bar they sell. Sara sold 57 candy bars and earned $42.75 for the trip. Jack sold 51 candy bars and earned $38.25
for the trip
a) Determine an equation to represent the relationship between the amount of money earned & the
number of candy bar sold.

b) If students do not want to sell candy bars, they can work at the car wash. Students who work at the car
wash will earn $30 toward the trip. Last year, Larry sold 36 candy bars. Should Larry sell candy bars or
work at the car wash?
