Make up a time when someone would make a deposit, withdrawal, or transfer. Then say what you would do in your account. Examples:

-If I earned $15 babysitting, I would deposit (or add) $15 to the previous balance.
-If I bought a new sweatshirt for $42.66, I would withdraw (or subtract) $42.66 from the previous balance.
-If transferred $100, I would subtract $100 from the account it is leaving and add $100 to the account it is going to.
