1. A parcel delivery service makes deliveries by truck within a metropolitan area from its headquarters. Each morning, trucks are assigned to delivery routes in various sectors of the city. It is desired to develop a formula to compute how long it takes to complete a route. At the beginning of the day, the following factors are known: (1) the total number of deliveries Q to be made during the route, and (2) the total length L of the day's route (miles), including the return trip back to headquarters. An average
