general admission tickets to the fair cost $3.50 per person. ride passes cost an additional $5.50 per person. parking cost $6 for the family. the total for the family $51. how many people in the family attended the fair? ?

p = # of people in the family that attended the fair.

for my equation i made,
3.50p+5.50p+6=51

but cant figure out how to solve it
