on what intervals is increasing?   well, increasing means, from-left-to-right is going up, and decreasing is from-left-to-right is going down, so, notice the vertex, goes up, reaches the vertex, goes back down... surely you can see the intervals

part B)



is a negative slope, the graph is dropping, meaning, the profits are dropping, as a matter of marketing, the higher the price of the product, less and less people show up to buy it, thus, you sell less and less of the product and the profits take a dive.
