It's just half of it, like half of 20=10
and half of 8=4

2/4
4/8
8/16
16/32
...so on and so forth. Just pick any even number, divide it by 2, and that is your numerator! For example 20. 10 is half of it. So 10 is your numerator and 20 is your denominator! 10/20 is 1/2.
