So if the perimeters are equal then you know 
   Rectangle                   Triangle 
x + x + x + 4 + x + 4 =  x + x + 9 + x + 5

which becomes 
       
   4x + 8 = 3x + 14

now you can solve the equation for x, then find the perimeters
