How do i solve this equation for x?

Ok so it's saying 2 * ( 2x + 12 )* 2/3 = 32

We need to solve for x.  First we multiply 2 by everything in the parenthisis. 

That leaves us with 4x + 24 * 2/3 = 32.   Now we do 24 * 2/3 = 16

So 4x + 16 = 32      We need x alone so we subtract 16 from both sides, leaving us with 4x = 16      Now we divide both sides by 4

So x = 4
