1) here, a is parallel to b, so their corresponding angles would be equal, and any angle which is on the same line would be equal to 180.

2)  ∠3 + 3x+7 = 180
∠3 = 4x + 5     [ corresponding angles ]
substitute the value, 
4x + 5 + 3x + 7 = 180
7x + 12 = 180
7x = 180 - 12
x = 168/7
x = 24
c.) now, 24 +   ∠6 = 180
∠6 = 180 - 24 = 156
