Let y be the price of the hamburger and x be the price of the hot dog.

   200y + 150x = 1,450
-(200y + 250x = 1,750)
              - 100x  = -300
                        x = -300/-100
                        x = 3

Each hot dog costs $3.
          
Day 1:
200y + 150(3) = 1,450
200y = 1,450 - 450
200y = 1,000
y = 1,000/200
y = 5

Day 2
200y + 250x = 1,750
200(5) + 250(3) = 1,750
1000 + 750 = 1,750
