Mr Meter claims he killed Mr. Boddy by poking a hole in the gas pipe in the corner of the living room. Meter appears to have no motive for killing Mr. Boddy, outside from trying to fit in with the rest of this troubling crew.
The gas was leaking into the room at a rate of 8 cubic feet per minute. At the same time, the AC was blowing
fresh air into the room at a rate of 8 cubic feet per minute, with an initial amount of 400fts of fresh air in the
room
In order for the gas leak to be deadly, the amount of gas in the room would have to be equal (or greater than)
the amount of fresh air in the room. Write an equation to represent the rate at which gas is leaking into the
room, and an equation to represent the total amount of fresh air in the room as a function of time in minutes
Could Mr. Meter have killed Mr. Boddy? In your Case Log, explain your answer in detail.
No
