Suppose the mean distance a person walks per day is 2.2 miles, and the standard deviation is 0.8 miles. You take a random sample of 25 days, and measure how far this person walks on each of those days. You then calculate x bar, the sample mean for the 25 days. Draw a picture of the population distribution for this example (assuming it has the Normal distribution). Write in the mean, the mean plus and minus one standard deviation, etc. The population distribution shows how the person's walking distance varies across all days.
