Multiplying the dividend and divisor by the same number is the same as multiplying by BLANK. To divide 34.54 by 2.3, multiply both numbers by BLANK to move the decimals one place over; to divide 34.54 by 2.31, multiply by BLANK to move the decimals two places over.
If the BLANK has a decimal but the BLANK does not, you can ignore the decimal while doing long division and simply add it back to the quotient after you finish.
