2. A high-school track team sold tickets for a car wash to raise money for equipment. Tickets sold for $5 for cars and $8 for vans. The team sold 200 tickets. They raised a total of $1150.
The linear system that represents this situation is: x = cars and y = vans
x + y = 200
5x + 8y = 1150
How many cars and how many vans did they wash? Show all work.
