Instructions: Create a symmetrical piece of original art using ONLY squares, triangles, and rectangles. Plan your design and be precise in your drawings and transformations.
Choose how to complete your work:
On computer
download a copy of this document ( go to “File” > “Download” > pick a file type of your choice)
insert screenshot into this document and fill in the table below with coordinate points of each original and transformed figure, to make submitting to dropbox easier
On paper
print this document
use graph paper to create your original piece of art using the shapes listed above
fill in the table with coordinate points of each original and transformed figure
take pictures of your work, or scan them into your computer
put all images in one document, with the rest of the problems, to make submitting to dropbox easier
Requirements:
You must include 4 shapes in your picture
Only choose from:
triangles
squares
rectangles
You must include at least one of each of these three transformations:
Translations - describe how far the shape moved, as well as direction (up, down, left, or right)
Rotations - describe the angle of rotation, and about what point the shape was rotated
Reflections - describe which line/axis the reflection occurred
You must record the coordinates of the original shape as well as the translated figures and describe the translation of each. (use the chart below to record this)

Browning labs is testing a new growth inhibitor for a certain type of bacteria. the bacteria naturally grows exponentially each hour at a rate of 6.2%. the researchers know that the inhibitor will make the growth rate of the bacteria less than or equal to its natural growth rate. the sample currently contains 100 bacteria.the container holding the sample can hold only 300 bacteria, after which the sample will no longer grow. however, the researchers are increasing the size of the container at a constant rate allowing the container to hold 100 more bacteria each hour. they would like to determine the possible number of bacteria in the container over time.create a system of inequalities to model the situation above, and use it to determine how many of the solutions are viable.
