Find the sum of the first six terms of the geometric sequence for which a2 = 0.7 and a3 = 0.49. I am in pre-calculus and the other answers are stuff I've never seen before. they are saying the first term is .9 something. but if a(n+1)/a(n)=.7, shouldn't the first term be 1? then we can use the partial sum theorem to get the answer?
