A male high school athlete is deciding between two spring sports and has been advised by this college counselor that he is more likely to earn a full -ride scholarship for baseball than for lacrosse . According to the 2013-2014 High School Athletics Participation Study , out of 482629 male high school baseball players 8062 earned a full athletic scholarship while out of 106720 male high school lacrosse players 1251 did. Do a hypothesis test to determine whether this data provide convincing statistical evidence in favor of the guidance counselors claim(Make sure to check assumptions /conditions )​
