Two cyclists are preparing to travel in opposite directions across the 1.7-mile Golden Gate Bridge. One cyclist leaves point A traveling at a fixed speed of 10 miles per hour across the bridge. At the same time, the other cyclist leaves point B traveling at a constant speed of 16 miles per hour. At the instant the two cyclists pass one another, what will be the distance from the cyclists to the shore at point B? Round the answer to the nearest tenth of a mile. One hour is the same as 60 minutes.
