Algebra 2 and explanation? i get confused when the base of the log isn't 10.

solve the equation and round to the nearest ten-thousandth.

log2 4x = 5
(2 is the base)

Log2 4x = log2 5
log2 4 + log2 4x = log2 5
4x = 5
x = 5/4

We could say this as 2 is raised to 5th power and is equal to 4x.
