LOGIC PROBLEM 3. CALL TO ORDER
by MARY MARKS CEZUS Sally was just about to complete her first week as a waitress with no major problems when in walked four of her friends. Each ordered a different sandwich, drink, and salad. To test her logic and her waitressing skills, they gave their order to Sally as clues. Sally successfully placed their orders in front of them within a few minutes. Can you, too, match each friend's name (one is Mike), sandwich, drink, and salad (one is a fruit salad)?
1. The four orders are Kathy's, the one with a hamburger, the one with a cola, and the one with the tossed
salad. 2. Linda does not want the tuna melt. 3. Jeff, the person who wants the lemon-lime drink, and the person who wants the grilled cheese, all three think
this is great fun. 4. The orange drink does not go with the potato salad. 5. Jeff wants neither the cola nor the tuna melt. 6. The tossed salad does not go with the chicken fillet. 7. Linda and the person who ordered the grilled cheese are going shopping after lunch. 8. Neither the coleslaw nor the root beer go with the hamburger. 9. The coleslaw goes with neither the chicken fillet nor the lemon-lime. .
