To solve this we are using the Pythagorean Theorem which is c^2=a^2+b^2.

In this case the c (hypotenuse) is x. Our equation will look like this:

x^2=15^2+8^2
x^2=225+64
x^2=289
We do the square root to undo ^2
x = 17
