Rats!
Rats have infested a large complex of
warehouses and their numbers are growing.
The warehouse manager found a note from
an angry former employee saying that he
released one dozen rats at the site. Since
then, the manager believes she is able to kill
about 1/3 of the rats each month.
Unfortunately, the female rats have litters
with 2 surviving pups every month.
Sketch your prediction of the rat population
in the graph.
How many rats do you think there will be in
8 months?
