In order to solve a system of equations using elimination, you will have two equations, for example, 2x+3y=15 and x-3y=3, and for elimination, you want to find two similar terms that can be multiplied to be the same term, so 3y and -3y. YOU WILL NEED ONE TO BE POSITIVE AND ONE TO BE NEGATIVE, so you may have to multiply with a negative to get that.
