A 60 kg passenger is riding in a car traveling at a steady 25m/s. The car takes a left turn on a flat curve with a radiusof 75 m at this constant speed. The passenger is notwearing her seatbelt, but there is friction between her andthe seat. The coefficient of static friction is0.6. (a) will she slide to the righton the seat during thisturn?
yes but why?
(b) if she does slip, when she contacts the door, what isthe normal force exerted sideways on her?
fs = Fc
μs*n = mv^2 / r
0.6*n = (60*25^2) / 75
n = 833 N
