A study reported that about 40% of high school students have tried out for a sport at their school. To find out if this applies to Jessica’s school, she surveyed an SRS of 20 students. Nine of them said that they had tried out for a sport. To see if this result is surprising, a simulation is to be conducted to estimate the probability of obtaining a sample result as high as this one. Let 0–3 represent students who tried out for a sport and 4–9 represent students who did not try out for a sport.

52644, 52348, 82462, 66233.

Using the line of random numbers to run one simulation, what proportion of students tried out for a sport?

0.40
0.45
0.50

Use the frequency distribution, which shows the number of american voters (in millions) according to age, to find the probability that a voter chosen at random is in the 18 to 20 years old age range. ages frequency 18 to 20 5.9 21 to 24 7.7 25 to 34 20.4 35 to 44 25.1 45 to 64 54.4 65 and over 27.7 the probability that a voter chosen at random is in the 18 to 20 years old age range is nothing. (round to three decimal places as needed.)
