A population of lizards decreases exponentially at a rate of 12.5% per year. What is the equivalent monthly rate to the nearest hundredth of a percent?

Note that this is an EXPONENTIAL thing and the monthly rates won't be from dividing by 12, I don't think, based on my first shot at this involving a question with butterflies.
I think the best shots are 1.11 and 1.23 but I NEED to be sure.
