Explain how using partial quotients to divide is similar to using the distributive property to multiply

Using partial quotients we divide a dividend ,uses its place values and permits to form on multiplication facts with numbers. It works with the  distributive property whereas,the distributive property of multiplication tellss that when a number is multiplied to the sum of two numbers,then the first number distributed to both of numbers of sum and multiplied to each of them individually, then by adding the two products together we get the exact same result as multiplying the first number by the sum.
