the two shapes are similar but scaled differently

this ratio is 2:3 (EF:AB)

so to find y we’ll set this up

2/3= y/4.5

and solve for y

4.5(2/3) = y

y = 9/3

y = 3

(5x + 9)^2 + 3 =>

25x^2 + 90x + 9^2 + 3 =

25x^2 + 90x + 84                 (as 9^2 = 9*9 = 81)

which is the second choice
