I just started with , and just now saw your questions. I wish I had seen it when you first posted it.

There are two transformations here. The first one is a translation. You do that one by subtracting 3 from each x value in your two points, and 3 from each y value in your two points. The second is a 180 degree rotation about the origin.  Rotation of a point through 180°is the same whether you go clockwise or counterclockwise. You end up with a new point for each one that you have, where the x and y values of the point you are rotating are negated. (-x, -y).

Step-by-step explanation:

1. The first point, S, is (-2, -1) and the second, T, is (0, 2). After the translation, S' is (-2-3, -1-3) or (-5, -4). T' is (0-3, 2-3) or (-3, -1)

2. Now you have to rotate the figure by changing the signs of the x and y values of both the translated points, S' and T'.

S'' = (5, 4) and T'' = (3,1)

3. Graph S'' and T'' and connect them with a line segment, and you are finished.
