1. A cake was ordered for a wedding reception with an original height of 5 inches. When the bride saw the cake, she thought it was too short. To make the cake
taller, she told the baker to add 2 more inches, but when the baker added 2
inches, it was still too short, so she told the baker to keep on adding 2 inches
until the cake was tall enough.
a) Write the recursive rule that represents the above problem.
b) Write the explicit rule that represents the above problem.
c) If the maximum cake box is 30 inches high, how many times can the baker
add 2 inches?
