Jamal and Dinah are practicing making soccer goals from center field. Harold, who is not as serious about soccer, is not paying attention and is showing off his latest dance moves in the field between them and the goal.
As Jamal and Dinah watch in horror, Jamal’s and Dinah’s soccer balls hit Harold right on top of his head! Jamal’s soccer ball flies on a path that would have landed on the ground 20 feet away from him if it had not hit Harold. Dinah’s soccer ball flies on a path that would have landed on the ground 24 feet away from her if it had not hit Harold. Jamal’s soccer ball flies 9 feet high, while Dinah’s reaches a height of 6 feet before hitting Harold. (You will need your calculators for this!)
