There is a machine shop with only one machine. Arrival rate to the shop is 10 parts per hour on average. The average machining time is 5 minutes per part. The machine shop is considering replacing the old machine with a new high speed machine, which is expected to reduce machining time by 20% (4 minutes per part). Also, the shop is expecting attracting 20% more customers (12 parts per hour), with the new machine. Compare the expected time in the shop for each part with the old and with the new machine.
