because every 10 tickets they give away 5 dollars you replace y as 10 and 1/2 of 10 is 5 so you replace the 1/x with 5

6 × 4.3 = 6 × ( 4 + 0.3 )

            =   (6 ×   4) + (6 ×   0.3)

            = 24 + 1.8

6 × 4.3 = 25.8

answer: x=60
