Suppose a researcher wants to study the effectiveness of a new job skills training program for people who have not been able to hold a job. Fourteen people who have not been able to get a job hold the study. Six of these people are randomly assigned to an experimental group to go through the special training program (Group 1). The other 8 volunteers are put in a control group (Group 2) that go through an ordinary job skills program. After training (of whichever type) placed in similar jobs. A month later, they are rated on performance. The results are below. [

A. By hand, using the five steps of hypothesis testing, test the hypothesis that the two training programs lead to different levels of performance using a = .05 (i. e., significance level = .05).
1. Determine the characteristics of the comparison distribution. Show your work here. You will need to complete a few calculations and we need to make you know how to do all of those correctly.
2. Determine the cutoff sample score (or critical value) on the comparison distribution at which the null hypothesis should be rejected.
3. Determine your sample's score on the comparison distribution.
4. Decide whether to reject the null hypothesis.
B. Using SPSS, test the hypothesis that the two training programs lead to different levels of performance using a = .05 (i. e., significance level = .05). Report the results in APA style. Be sure to report Group Means and Standard Deviations.

The lengths of nails produced in a factory are normally distributed with a mean of 4.91 centimeters and a standard deviation of 0.05 centimeters. find the two lengths that separate the top 4% and the bottom 4%. these lengths could serve as limits used to identify which nails should be rejected. round your answer to the nearest hundredth, if necessary.
