Part A -
Find the area of the large rectangle that contains the state. Show the equation you used.
Hints- Use the dimensions of the rectangle that would contain the entire state. The dimensions are given at the bottom and left side of the map. When you answer there are 3 squares.
It’ll be: square box x square box = (blank) square miles.

Part B -
Find the area of the rectangle that is missing from the top-right corner of the larger rectangle. Show the equation you used.
Hints - Find the area of the rectangular blank space shown at the top-right corner of the map. Like part A says the answer will say square box x square box = (blank) square miles.

Part C -
Enter the correct answer.
Hints- Find the area of the state of Utah. Subtract the area of the missing piece from the area of the larger rectangle.
The answer look like -
Area of the state of Utah = blank square miles.
